Layered Nacho Dip

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
  • 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies
  • 3/4 cup thick taco sauce
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped black olives
  • Tortilla chips
  1. Crumble and brown ground beef in skillet with onion for 8 to 10 minutes, or until beef is no longer pink.  Drain fat and rinse, if desired.
  2. Spread beans in thin layer in 9" x 13" baking dish.  Combine beef, onion and chilies and place on bean layer.  Drizzle with taco sauce.  Bake, uncovered at 400° F for 20 minutes.  Top with grated cheese, dollop with sour cream, and sprinkle with green onions and black olives.  Serve hot as a dip with plenty of tortilla chips.
